My search for a new doctor is over...
After an extensive search, I found a doctor that spoke directly to ME! I was blown away by by his vast knowledge of research based findings and common sense approach. You see I don't believe in medicating to treat symptoms. I believe in making your food your medicine and your medicine your food. That is what Dr John McDougall said to ME in a youtube video. He is not in the good graces of the dairy or meat industry and most his colleagues generally ignore what he has to say. It was radical for me to give up meat but I've tried everything else and just could not get to where I want to go with health, weight, and blood pressure. I'm lucky to not have diabetes but his protocol has great success with that and many other western diet induced sicknesses. I made up my mind and jumped right into a starch based diet of potatoes, rice, beans, corn, and fruits and vegetables as side items. Oil is a no no as the Doc says fat you eat is the fat you wear. Stuff yourself on the very things that we have heard make us fat. Not so. I'm 4 weeks in have lost 10 pounds. I have a scale that measures fat and I went from 27% fat to 22% fat in a month. My blood pressure is stabilizing to normal levels of 120/70 with a pulse of 54. I plan to lose another 25-30 pounds and stay on this protocol of a starch based lifestyle. I have unbelievable energy and feel great. Imagine the cost of feeding yourself and family without having to buy meat and dairy.
