I tried to open the channel myself - I read different manuals - but I didn’t succeed - it’s too difficult for a regular user from the crypto industry - for other people this is generally an "abra cadabra" - will there be easier ways to open the channel ???
Be aware that the Lightning network is in Beta mode. For now, mostly for "power users", so a bit intend to be hard. So it is hard to use and hard to screw up.
But still, there exist apps that make it easier, like https://github.com/lightninglabs/lightning-app
