My favorite cafe in Medan
As you can see on the photos I am at one of my favorite cafe, it name is Gardenia Cafe, located at Doktor Mansur Street close North Sumatera university, the place is quite glamor but not really expensive one. what I like most is the atmosphere at the cafe is different from other at that time. the cafe is set up open room, with the place for kiddos to play, while the family enjoy the food and drink. Just like the name of that cafe "Gardenia Cafe" there are set of table put on the open yard with fancy colorful light surrounding the place. Obviously that cafe is also interesting for many other people both local or foreigner. when I was there I saw many visitor coming in and out to and from that place, which mean that place is quite famous in town.
I love to seat there with family and enjoy the night, just one thing could really be a distraction is rain, because there was roof or canopy at the garden part. The best time to visit this cafe is at evening, since you can enjoy the calm air and light around you. Besides, the waiters are really hospitality to welcome you and over you the menu that you can choice by your own favor. The lowest price at that time is about IDR 15.000 (1.2 $ USD), and the Espresso which is the favorite of my husband also available with really good quality of Gayo High Land Arabica. I love coffee too.
If you some day visit Medan, you can check the place, perhaps you would enjoy your time as I did before. And no worries, because there are a lot of good hotel available around the place as well. if you just arrive to Medan from Kuala Namu international Air Port, especially if you take cab/taxi you can tell your driver to drop you to Doktor Mansur street and you will find that cafe easily. It was about 100 meters from main road. By mentioning the place is close to the bigest University in town so every taxi driver will easily bring you there. I know the place still there and even bigger now, because my friend just visited that place a month ago. Ok. let enjoy the photos of that place then
