Hope in Isaiah: For they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them. Isaiah 65:23

The literary work attributed to the prophet Isaiah is divided into three parts or books, and it is very possible that only the first book corresponds to the authorship of the prophet, while the other two books probably correspond to disciples of the prophet.
While the first book consists of a description of the moral situation of the Kingdom of Judah before its destruction in front of the Babylonian empire, along with a small apocalyptic compendium, and the second book is a call to rebuild the promised land with the liberation made by Cyrus the Great, the last book seems to focus on the idea of a new Jerusalem and the realization of eschatological hope, with a judgment on good and evil men.
At the end of his third book, Isaiah presents a new Jerusalem, freed from sin and error, a Jerusalem renewed by God's wisdom. It is very likely that this description Isaiah gives is the Jerusalem that will emerge from his brief apocalypse recounted in his first book. Like all the prophets, Isaiah did not prophesy about the end of the world, but about the end of times; the dominion of sin over humanity must give way to a wisdom renewed by God.
And with these words, Isaiah describes the new times that must come after terrible trials: "See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind" Isaiah 65:17. Isaiah can be said to have been the prophet of hope, a prophet who anticipated the arrival of Jesus, with his prophecies about Emmanuel, and who also warned about the resolution of the problem of evil in humanity. This is why the prophet Isaiah, like Lord Jesus, called upright men to the spiritual gifts of perseverance, constancy, and endurance; and he foretold a future of blessing for them, despite the present difficulties, with these words: "For they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them" Isaiah 65:23.
The end of the third book of Isaiah is a spiritual reflection on the future of humanity, a humanity that, after a great tribulation, must give way to a renewed man blessed by God in wisdom and understanding.
