How would you describe the Feeling of being HIGH !?
Greetings, all Steemians!
Since this is an anonymous and decentralized platform, I think I can freely share my thoughts here (right?)
I'm a regular Marijuana smoker, and people who have never tried it have often asked me how I would explain the feeling of being High.
It's very hard to put into words - but I'll try.
Mental Effects:
This depends a lot on the weed you used.
In general, weed makes you think deep and sometimes "weird" thoughts.
They're just thoughts you would've never come up with otherwise!!
Example: When walking around your apartment like you've done a thousand times before, you would suddenly think stuff like: "My floor is made out of wood. Isn't it weird how people chop down trees and then make stuff out of it?"
Or when watching television you would think maybe: "What I'm watching right now is not actually real, it's not even in real time. I'm watching moving pictures from the past!"
Obviously these are just examples, but you know what I mean.
You also often have thoughts about something that's completely irrelevant to what you're currently doing.
Of course, if you focus on it, you can have some very deep thoughts that you can benefit from, you can have amazing ideas for projects or find out the cause of some personal problems, etc.
Physical Effects:
Also varies a lot from person to person and from weed to weed.
Most people will experience being hungry, especially craving sweets or junk food :D obviously!
Also, you get a really dry mouth. I hate that! Weed dries your body out so no wonder your mouth gets so dry, and drinking water sometimes doesn't even help.
A lot of the time I also tend to get red eyes.
Some people have a blocked nose when smoking (I don't) but that could also depend on the tobacco.
In general, your body feels lighter, sometimes (when the weed gets too strong..) you might feel a little dizzy or like you can't coordinate your motor skills as you normally can.
The feeling of being high relaxes you, you can take your mind off of worries and really enjoy whatever you're doing. It's great and absolutely harmless - you can't even die from an overdose of weed. It even heals you, which has been proven a lot of times already.
I can't wait till it finally gets legalized everywhere.
I mean c'mon, we're talking about a "drug" that makes you happy and hungry! not aggressive and rude like alcohol or other legally and socially acceptable drugs.
It's a step back. Helps face situations without taking them too personal.
you're right, that's a good point. you get a different view on things!
It depends on what you're high on though
Only people opposed to legalization are literally demons.
true!!
It's stages, and depends on what strain for me. My tolerance for it is incredibly high... so these days it's a lot different than it was 20 years ago when I really started to use this medicine. These days I mostly feel the benefits of it on a medicinal level - where I feel all of the pain in my body from stress, anxiety, depression, and more fades away instantly. I feel the high strong, but I am in the drivers seat. It doesn't make me feel lazy, but inspired and motivated to do great things. I feel free, I actually feel "normal" - like the way I would want to all the time. I feel balanced, whole, happy, and at peace with the world. I could go on, but for me the plant has saved my life so many times, but unfortunately for me I live in an oppressive state and can't leave - so I'm not able to truly indulge like I want. If I were free - I would grow and heal others. I know for a fact it is not something for everyone. I've seen people react to it in a way I can't comprehend, so it all depends on our chemistry. For me, it's a plant I think is a blessing on so many levels.
