back at shiroda market. this time it's fish

last friday i posted from the market in shiroda which is a coastal town in southern maharashtra near goa. along the entire coast fish is by far the most common dinner item among non-vegetarians. the prices of the most sought after kinds of fish can be extreme and though caught locally are often packed in ice and sent to the expensive tourist resorts in goa. the fish available in shiroda can still be very pricey for pomfret and kingfish of a reasonable size but these disappear quickly nonetheless.
