Hello steemians !!!
I am back with very new and interesting topic. You might have heard the term COLOR BLINDNESS. If not, then you have opened
the right post. Today its my duty to make you clear about Colorblindness.

One question that arise in mind is how color blind people see this world?

WHAT IS COLOR BLINDNESS ???

It is a condition in which there is decreased ability to see colors or to differentiate colors. In normal person there is presence of 3 types of cones cell( cell that is responsible for color vision) i.e red sensitive , blue sensitive and green sensitive cell. If there is defect in any of there cell it leads to color blindness.

HOW COLOR BLINDNESS OCCUR ???

color blindness can be either congenital ( inherited) or acquired.
Inherited colorblindness occur due to mutation in X-chromosome. It is more commonly occur in male(3-4%)than in female(0.4%) . it is because male has only one X chromosome so that it can express itself. It is also seen in some congenital diseases. They are:-

  1. cone dystrophy
  2. cone-rod dystrophy
  3. Leber's congenital amaurosis

Acquired color blindness is due to any trauma leading to damage to the eye, optic nerve, or parts of the brain. It can also occur due to consumption of certain drugs like drugs Plaquenil.
