X-RAY -The accidental experiment which shook the entire world

Now a days we all know about x-rays and it's uses especially it's uses in the medical field.But do you know the history of X-RAY.If you don't know, relax today I am going to share about the experiment from which x-ray was born.

Did you know that life changing experiment of x-ray was accidental.The discovery of x-rays was made by Sir Wilhelm Roentgen in the year 1895.One day in his laboratory he was experimenting with cathode rays then suddenly he saw a light in his berium platinodied coated screen.Cathode rays can light up the screen but the cathode tube was covered by a cardboard.So he began to search any other source of light in the room but there was nothing.Then finally he turned off the cathode tube and the ray in the screen just vanished.So he concluded that the ray was coming from the cathode tube.But cathode ray cannot pass through a piece of cardboard so the ray was a new kind of ray who's properties was unknown then so he named the ray as x-ray.

Then after several experiments he discovered what was the main properties of x-rays and what it can do.

In a another day he put his hand in the path of x-rays and noticed a image of his bones in the screen.That was a Breakthrough moment in the medical field.In 22 december,1895 he took the first x-ray of his wife.Then he published a article A NEW KIND OF RAY in the science world and the whole world came to know about his magical ray.In the year 1901 Sir Wilhelm Roentgen was honoured with nobel prize.That was the first nobel prize in the field of physics but he donated all the money from the nobel prize to a college.He even not patented his discovery and leave x-ray for public use.

That time very few facts was known about x-rays and noone knew about it's bad sides.Excessive use of x-rays can leads to many health issues and even cancer.And in the year 1903 the death of Clarens Daley,assistent of Thomas Alba Edison stopped all the Excessive use of x-rays in the market.Then scientist again began to work with x-rays and found the method of using x-rays without any damage.
Now a days this magical rays of Sir Wilhelm Roentgen is used in almost every field of science from Medical to Physics to Astronomy.

In life I listened many time that success is not accident but in the case of x-rays and Sir Wilhelm Roentgen it was an accident that leads us to this modern medical facalities.
