RE: The Balance Between Your Workload and Your Efficiency...
The main dilemma is the need to feel that we comply with our work in the best way possible, but without harming our personal or family life. All human beings seek balance, that feeling of peace and harmony in our lives that guarantees stability and happiness.
This balance starts from discovering us full and realized in all areas of our life (personal, family, couple, social and professional). We will be happier to the extent that we obtain complete satisfaction in each of them, otherwise we will live with the eternal feeling that we are missing something. In the worst case, we will live dragging behind the dreams that we will not be able to fulfill.
Many people think that this balance is the privilege of a few since they only focus on doing the simple comparison of the 8-12 hours devoted to work compared to the 2-3 hours dedicated to the education of the children and the family.
From my point of view there are two complementary strategies that are key to achieving a life in balance.
The first is a sufficient proportion of time dedicated to the inner world (personal development) and social (relationships) that will be different for each person.
The second, have a clear life purpose, that includes personal and professional challenges, and a good balance of our dedication to both interests.
There are people who have a very rich inner world and others who are more relational, there are also people involved in work or in their personal lives, and anything goes, although it is important to be clear about what makes us happy to define that unique and personal balance .
From my experience I dare to say that as a rule the dedication we offer to the inner world is very scarce or better said practically nil, especially because of the unconsciousness of both its need, and the power of freedom that it gives.
