New to Steem it! Let's talk MMA and Boxing, Does Mcgregor has a chance in august against Mayweather?

With the upcoming fight between Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC superstar Conor McGregor, I wanted to share my thoughts on the whole thing.

One thing that is sure is that both of these guys are doing this for money, with Floyd owing money to the IRS and McGregor wanting to enjoy the higher payouts of boxing compared to MMA.

The big question everyone is really asking themselves is; Does McGregor even have a chance or is this all a big circus to make money, my answer would be both. Multiple factor here make me believe Conor actually has a bigger chance at this than most people think.

First of all, his mental game or trash talk, has got to be the best boxing and MMA have seen in a long time, which seems to work on Floyd as we saw him wearing platform shoes on one of the press conference. Also McGregor has nothing to lose going into boxing and Mayweather a 49-0 record to protect against a complete newcomer (at least in the boxing world).We will have to see how much this affect Floyd on fight night.

Second, Conor is not a boxer, now you might think this is bad, and in essence it is, but it might play in favor of Conor. Floyd has shown many time that he is a great boxer and that he can defeat other great boxers, maybe McGregor unorthodox striking style will catch Mayweather by surprise.

Last but not least, Age, size and power, let's not forget here than McGregor who is still in his late 20s, will be facing a 40 years old man, who hasn't boxed for around 2 years, Physically McGregor is in his prime, bigger and there is no doubt stronger than Mayweather.

To conclude, if I had to predict who is going to win in august, I would still say Mayweather, but I wont be surprised if Conor manages to land a good one in the early rounds and end Mayweather streak. One thing for sure the whole event is going to be entertaining (the boxing match itself might not be).
