Mole de Mayo Festival — Chicago

It was a delightful festival where we sampled mole from different areas. That was a big spoon! This mole had a barbecue taste to it. Another was on the sweet side.

We liked this mole - mostly because the owner was from Oaxaca.

The 2018 winner of the People’s Choice Award (2 years in a row!) had a nutty, vibrant flavor from Mexico City. 🇲🇽 The roasted chilies were key. We bought some of this yummy prize home. Congrats to Frida Room on your delicious win.
