Standing on this rocky coastline, with nothing but the Atlantic stretching endlessly toward the horizon, I realised how rare that feeling has become.

We spend so much of our lives chasing something—deadlines, notifications, destinations, the next achievement—that we often forget what it feels like to pause without a purpose.

Here, there was no agenda.

No conversation.

No background music.

Only the rhythmic sound of waves breaking against volcanic rocks and a breeze carrying the unmistakable scent of saltwater.

It wasn't a spectacular moment.

There were no dramatic clouds, no fiery sunset, no extraordinary event unfolding before my eyes.

And yet, it became unforgettable.

Perhaps because peace rarely arrives with fanfare.

It usually appears quietly, disguised as an ordinary afternoon by the sea.
