Russian hackers are intentionally rupturing the blockchain network to mine Monero, zcash and other various cryptocurrencies.

A expert team of hackers coded a cryptocurrency mining malware and installed it on 9000 computers over two years. They get tried hard to mine monero, zcash and other cryptocurrency.
