I've read this book twice the second time I read it I used the study guide and I got a lot more out of it,I would highly recommend using the guide while studying the work.
I first began reading the book during my second year of college while studying psychology. I found the book fascinating and saw a lot of parallels between psychology and von mises description of how market works.
the detail that von mises go's into in the book is fascinating! it's a great book to read it's the foundation of much libertarian and free-market thought of the last hundred years. Reading the book in college influenced me to go on and get my Masters in business a decision that I think has worked out great. I wanted to shared to book to whoever is interested in it and has some spare time.
Human Action is my own personal Bible. Mises epic tour de force of economic theory will enable you to understand everything there is to know about economics. Although he doesn't really cover the economics of criminal enterprises and markets in violence, well, unless you count the extensive discussion about the damaging effect of attempting to control prices either through price fixes or centralised control of production.
