1941 Shipwreck silver. 85 lives lost on ship.

SS Gairsoppa was a British steam merchant ship launched in 1919. Later used during the second world war.
Sunk by a German torpedo on its way to Ireland in Feb. 1941. 85 lives were lost.
In 2011 the shipwreck was discovered and in 2012-2013, 48 tons of silver were recovered making it the deepest, largest precious metals recovery in history.
