The Pursuits of Happiness!!!
The phrase "Don't give up," echoed at unpopular times- to make people feel better, and regardless of their hurdles, should remain unyielding. The phrase exemplifies the pinnacle of verbal motivation. No matter the ordeal or impasse, there is, and most certainly, a happy ending to every story; such plucky assertion!.
The travails faced by everyday people are not always identical, many of them are particular. Although, most people will argue that there is no alien situation: all travails, irrespective of its weight has been experienced by some random person in time past. As tempting as it sound, I found it an exaggeration: A statement overdrawn in an attempt to lift spirit, and dispel gloom.
Our society today, is nothing like it used to be. It is broken and in peril. Our sicken society almost certainly determine the fate of every man by condemning us to a lifetime of hassle and drudgery . The steady step-up in world population, coupled with other myriads of problems some of which are: destructive climate change, inequality in income distribution, Terrorism/wars ,growing poverty rate, poor education in most third word country has left our word on the brim.
Made to be believe that things always get worse before it get better, the suffering man, most often without proper definition of the situation, will continue on a particular path, and hope for a better ending; never give up the conservatives will always say.
The makings of the average man is such that at all times, he will avoid toiling and discomfort. He will instinctively evade the drudging pursuits, for the effortless and pleasurable. But the reality of life insures that such deluxe eludes him, leaving man to toil in the pursuit of happiness.
In a bid to find happiness, people venture into various activities, while some are enjoyable, others an expedience. They eschew their innate nature and fight for the right to live, as they struggle to survive in a steadily degenerating society, where the price to live is rather high and yet uncertain.
The pleasure seeking man, soon becomes inure to the vast adversities that bedevils him. This new found assuredness, eventually defines the fortune of every man-- Whether they are strong enough to bring home the beacon, and join the elite, who not by industry, but by virtue of their heritage are prominent, or billow in mediocrity.
In a world overshadowed by darkness, we all need a light. Whether a mother dedicates her life to caring for her kids, or a career woman, devotes every token of time to her job, or a preacher spends his entire life edifying souls at God's temple, or a student spend years and hour studying in anticipation of life a defining examination, or the entrepreneur endures sleepless nights strategising his next business move --whatever we sought to do with our moments, with our lives, leads us into light, as people often find happiness in their endeavors.
In pursuit of happiness, we toil, we err, we fall, and we rise. No matter where one finds himself, when he gets to the crossroads, his resolve not to give up, but continue persistently, isn't merely because he has envisioned a superior ending, but mostly pertinent to his understanding that giving up equals relinquishing the will live. And with this knowledge comes a resolve that hardly waver; The kind that cannot be inspired by a third party.
