Injured Tim Gajser returns to MXGP this weekend in Italy!

in #motocross8 years ago (edited)

Yes, the good news we have all been waiting for :) The current Champ is back to ride in Lombardi for the MXGP of Italy!

After being forced to sit out for the Russian GP after his shoulder injury and other various bangs... He has been undergoing treatment back in Serbia and has now announced he is back and itching to get back into the mix and salvage his season.

Being a sand track Ottobiano will see him up against MXGP sand specialist Herlings but i doubt that will phase him. This is his 'home' GP and Ottobiano is part of a massive motorport facility in Northan Italy. He can handle the sand so im looking forward to this one :)

Qualifying as always will start on saturday so watch this space steemers for updates :) I'm out of town so to speak but not out of the game!

Tim Gajser

"I am really looking forward to coming back this weekend. It was really difficult having to miss a race to allow myself to heal but I now see it was the best thing for me. I like Ottobiano as I enjoy racing in the sand. Now I feel ready to come back fighting and ride like I know I can."

Evgeny Bobryshev

"I have raced at Ottobiano many times, we have had the Italian international championships there in the past. I like the track, the sand there suits my riding style. I still have to consider that I am still recovering from my injury, I am pleased with how Russia went so I feel that I will be stronger in Italy. I am just going to keep working hard to get my physical condition back to where it should be and get back onto the podium."

Roger Harvey

"We are really pleased to be heading into Ottobiano with both riders back on the bike again. Bobby has been working on strengthening his shoulder so this weekend he should come back stronger. Tim is keen to come back and resting up over the last few weeks has helped him heal to get back on his CRF450RW. I am looking forward to seeing what we can do this weekend."
