(Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, 1967)

The story of ' Guess Who's Coming to Dinner ' dealt with in the story of a black and white guest was unusual in the United States, where racial problems are still not a common issue, but historically, almost every state of the United States is prohibited. On the contrary, it is a comedy drama film that makes audiences laugh and feel good. Matt Drencer Tracy is married to his daughter, Joey Drughton, and black John Prentiss.

" Guess Who's Coming to Dinner " is a scene in which a talented white doctor, who is 37 years old, arrives in San Francisco, and Joey's parents, Matt and Christina Drayton (Kathare), for permission. Those who think so are as wrong as they are. Matt and Christina, who raised Joey, teaching him, " Sometimes they are hateful, usually stupid, but in some cases they are wrong, " are married to Joey, who grew up with them. Matt, who is more realistic than Christina, likes John and Joey's marriage. John's parents, Mrs. Prentiss (Roy E. Glenn, Sr.), and Mrs. Elah Richards (Beah Richards), who arrived in San Francisco at the invitation of Joey over the phone, also report their son's marriage.

John and Joey came to get permission from Matt and Christina, but they almost came to give Matt and Christina the wedding notice. John goes to New York tonight, then to Switzerland tomorrow night, where Joey is going to Geneva to marry John. Matt has to decide whether to allow John and Joey to marry before John goes to New York tonight. Although the setting of the story that Matt has to decide whether to allow John and Joey to marry within today, it is to increase the dramatic effect and interest of the movie.

Matt's marriage to John and Joey is not disputable because he is a racist. Matt, the prominent publisher of newspapers, is rather a liberalist. Christina is also famous for her cold dismissal of racist Hillary St. George (Virginia Christine), an employee of her gallery, in " Guess Who's Coming to Dinner " In the story of liberal Matt and Christina brushing the conflict over the marriage between John and Joey, the " Guess Who's Coming to Dinner " emphasizes that race is a prejudice rooted in society for a long time.

The marriage of John and Joey is not complete, but the black maid, Tilly, is biased against race issues. John says to Mrs. Prentiss, who opposes her and Joey's marriage, " I consider myself a colored man.

The last scene of " Guess Who's Coming to Dinner " where Matt finally allows John and Joey to marry is touching. The reason why this scene is so touching is that it is simply a scene in which Matt allows John and Joey to marry, which solves all of the conflicts caused by John and Joey's marriage, but most of all, Matt solves the social prejudice.

‘ Guess Who's Coming to Dinner ' is the final Academy Award winner of the Academy Award for Best Actress in 10 categories, including Best Picture, Catherine Hepburn for the role of Christina Drayton, and William Rose for Best Screenplay Award. Catherine Hepburn had such a longing for Spencer Tracy that she didn't see the finished " Guess Who's Coming to Dinner. "
