(When Harry Met Sally, 1989)
It was in 1977, at the University of Chicago, when the two just graduated. After graduating from law school, Harry was introduced by her girlfriend Amanda (Michelle Nicastro), who took Sally's car to New York to go to journalism. While Harry and Sally go together for an 18-hour trip to New York, they argue brightly about whether men and women can be friends. Harry insists that men and women can never be friends because there is always a distraction between men and women.
Five years later, Harry and Sally, each political adviser and reporter in New York, meet again at the airport, when they are getting married to a woman named Helen Hillson (Sally Ford). Harry sees Sally kissing hard with Joe at the airport. Unfortunately, Harry and Sally, who are on the same plane, are at odds again over their relationship. Harry says to Sally, " Do you know what you're thinking after you go to a woman's house and have sex? How much longer do I have to lie here and hold her before I wake up and go home? Will 30 seconds be enough? ... sure. All men think so. How much longer do you want to be held after sex? All night, right? Look, that's the problem. Somewhere between 30 seconds and all night is your problem. "
Five years later, Harry and Sally meet again at the bookstore, when Harry is about to divorce Helen and Sally is separated from Joe. Since then, they have become friends and talked about all their worries, and sometimes make each other feel lonely. Harry says to Sally, " Good. A female friend I think you will be the first attractive woman in my life that I don't want to sleep. "
Written by Nora Efron and directed by Rob Liner, ' When Harry Met Sally ' is a romantic comedy about the fate of Harry and Sally and their love.
Most of the stories about " When Harry Met Sally " are about Harry meeting his friend, Bruno Kirby, and Sally meets her friend Marie. Nora Efron's witty lines, the production of a comic book director Rob Liner, and the great acting of Billy Crystal as Harry Burns and Meg Ryan, in the scene, meet with laughter.
When Harry meets Sally, ' tells the audience a pretty good story and story about the differences between the two. Harry, a man, is as dark, pessimistic, and emotional as Burns. Sally, on the other hand, is as bright, positive and rational as the name Albright. Harry orders food in restaurants, and he is impatient with Sally, who checks each letter in the mailbox, and Sally always reads the last page when she buys a new book. Then I know how to die before I finish my book .... Anyway, they become friends despite Harry's theory that they can not be friends because there are always obstacles between men and women. Harry tells Jess about his relationship with Sally. " ... I've never had sex with a woman. I'm growing up. "
But Harry and Sally have made the mistake of going to bed together. After sex, Harry looks as if he is thinking about how much longer he should be lying down, and Sally is happy as if she wants to stay up all night. The next morning, however, Harry gets up in a hurry and goes home, which makes Sally embarrassed.
The famous scene in ' When Harry Met Sally ' is when Sally plays an orgasm in front of Harry in a restaurant. The scene was filmed at Katzen`s Delicatessen, a famous restaurant in Manhattan, New York, whether it was originally famous or because of the movie.
Like an interview in the middle of the movie, old real couples appear to tell their first stories, and the scenes in which Harry and Sally meet to become friends and eventually confirm each other's love.
