I'm not saying it's a bad idea but having to introduce a "popular" category shows how out of touch The Academy is, and reeks of a desperate attempt to stay relevant. Having said that i still enjoy "Oscar season", nice to have a bunch of great non-blockbuster flicks to watch at the end of the year.
