Making An Album Cover Ourselves // PART 2 // The Location & The Photographer

in #music8 years ago (edited)

Today we're covering the story of how we found the location for the photo shoot and the photographer.

Part 2
Finding the location and photographer we needed to make it all happen.

At the end of the road from our old studio is a big church (I wont say which church but in the steeple one of the UKs biggest songwriters has his studio!). We've gotten to know the priest over the years, in the pub and he's an absolute dude! So we rang him up and and asked if we could use the church one night to do a photo shoot. He said yes and in total dude form didn't ask for a penny. The Church has some large plain white walls to act as a backdrop so it was ideal.

Then we needed someone who knew their way around a camera and had some lovely lenses. For that we called our very talented friend Alex Wood aka Lexplex. He's been a friend of Alice's for years and always been up for a creative project. (Not to mention he's an insanely good photographer so make sure and check out his stuff!) And in total dude form all he asked for was Dominos pizza on the night.

So we have our photographer and we have our location. All we need now is a killer photo.
