Not exactly my kind of soul as I'm more partial to Stax and southern soul in general, but nice, tight horns here and I like the ending when you really start feeling the groove.
Can’t go wrong with Stax for sure. For me I dig this tune mostly because of the association with the GFK track, but it’s definitely good in it’s own right too.
What’s your favorite Stax track or artist?
Right off the top of my head probably Eddie Floyd.
