That’s a great music story Adam sounds like you have done great, well done 👍 for teaching yourself. I am also mostly self taught on most instruments. I had a piano teacher as a child and now am learning violin mostly by going to jam sessions and just playing along. It brings so much joy, I can’t imagine living without it. Interesting you mentioned a looper because I bought a Jam Man a couple of years ago but haven’t really put it to use but might get it out and use it for backing tracks and as a metronome.

I actually wish I'd gotten a looper a long time ago, but I didn't really even know about them until I saw a video of a guy using one to do beatboxing. It took a bit of practice to get the foot pedal timing down when I use it, but, now it's second nature and it's just part of the way I play.
