What Band or Music Artist do You Identify With?
For Me it is MUSE.
I admit I was very late to the MUSE party. Their first album debuted in 1999 but I did not start listening to them until 2010. For once in my life I really identified with the music I was listening to. They dislike the State, choose love over war and strive for freedom of expression. The song that got me hooked was, "Uprising".
Uprising.
Resistance.

Stockholm Syndrome.

Music is so powerful. When I first heard many of these songs something inside of me screamed "YES". I now knew that I was not the only one who felt the world around me was a farce. It was my duty to free my mind and then tell others. Now seven years later I find myself teaching the world about being a digital nomad, Crypto Currency and living a free lifestyle.

Love Muse! I wouldn't pretend to know their material in depth but I very much appreciate their hits. Dead Inside is another great song. I once posted the official video, along with a kewl guitar cover played by a guy name Chris Mike, on my Facebook page. Both versions are very good.

I just realized I haven't answer the question. It's hard to tell with so many great artists to choose from, but if I had to pick one band whose music has entertained me the most along the years, I would have to go with Jethro Tull. I plan on doing a post about their music.
Some believe that the song Hotel California by the Eagles was inspired by We Used to Know.

Oh Man, they were amazing. Growing up in the 80's I used to listen to the classic rock station and these guys were one of the best.
We also have a classic rock station in Montreal which has been around for a very long time. I don't often listen to the radio, but when I do, it's CHOM-FM that I listen to. They do play some Muse, Jethro Tull, and the likes!

I heard Muse on the radio early on when I thought they had similarities to Radiohead. Obviously they went in a different direction. I like a lot of their music and have seen them live once. Matt is a pretty amazing musician and singer.
As for who I identify with, it's a tricky one. I think it could be Eels. I've had nothing like the sad life Mark Everett has had, but his songs touch me in a certain way.
