Composing Soulful R&B Melodies With Instrumentals # 5 - Disconnection (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Soulful music has dependably had a nearby association with most profound sense of being. This has been the reason that a large portion of the holy people in the prior age have given most extreme significance to profound music. Otherworldly music has the ability to help the human soul and brain. Orchestrating the person's internal identity, music quiets down the individual effectively. The music you fill your mind with should come from an authentic, soulful place that has nothing to do with pretense

For this soulful R&B instrumental music, in the above screenshot, I started off with these Warm Vibraphone sound in the Mallets section in the virtual studio technology instrument Hypersonic. This sound is the 1st sound you will hear right when the beat drops. This sound is the intro to the instrumental music tune.

After I laid down the foundation sounds to get the instrumental music going, I then started to work on the drums for the beat. I like to keep my drum patterns simple because it allows the melody to flourish. Some of my beats have simple drum works and some have complicated drum patterns with a lot of break downs. It all depends on the type of vibe that I'm getting off the beat. Make sure to listen to what your instrumental music is telling you when you are creating it because music speaks to us and if you can't hear your own music that you are creating then you're going to have a tough time bonding with your own creation in my opinion.

You know I couldn't forget about the world famous SUB BASS from the VSTi plugin Hypersonic. It's not really world famous, I just said that because I'm always using this sub bass for most of my instrumental hip hop music beats or in other genres of instrumentals that I create. This bass line is basically going along with the melody of the beat, can you hear it? This bass is what gives the instrumental beat it's bump, very hard to miss if you have some good headphones or speakers in general.

I also manage to add some SQ Strings out of the VSTi plugin purity to add to the soulful vibe of the track. I think these strings did the instrumental justice! This sound is also one of my favorite sounds to use when creating an instrumental beat. I just like how cinematic it sounds. If you're keeping up with my post then you should know by now that I love cinematic type of sounds that make an instrumental sound theatrical. These are the only long string sound that you'll going to hear in this instrumental track besides the short spiccato strings

I also used some pianos that I found in the VSTi plugin purity called 1st Impression to add on the the main melody of the instrumental for extra sound support. I trust that everyone can hear the pianos clearly and if not, excuse the mixing. I'll try not to rush the mix on future projects but I did take some time fixing some levels to this instrumental beat. These pianos are the only piano sound that you're going to hear in the soulful instrumental music so it's not that hard to hear, good mix or not ;-)

In conclusion, To add some a little drama to the soulful instrumental R&B beat, I added these Spiccato Strings found in the Hypersonic VSTi. These strings are like stair steppers to the instrumental, can you see it in the pattern in the screenshot? I added these strings because I thought the instrumental need a little bit of theatrics, I love a good cinematic sound in my instrumentals. These are the only short strings you're going to hear in the instrumental soulful music.
