Meet the musicians who became famous after death part 1

in #music3 years ago

I ope you are well! on this occasion I have come to bring you a little musical dose in two parts since I have realized that this blog deserves two parts in order to explain in detail how impressive some musicians were able to become famous after their death, something amazing that only you will see here

Robert Joihnson (1911-38).

Little is known of Robert's brief life. He was born in Mississippi and died there with some wanderings in between. He was an itinerant blues singer with few recordings although his talent was remarkable enough to start a legend that he sold his soul to the devil in exchange for impressive guitar skills after his death in 1938 Robert remained largely unknown until 20 years later when Columbia Records released a posthumous album of his work called KING OF THE DELTA BLUES SINGERS this sparked new interest as great artists included Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and the rolling stones who helped shape rock and roll.

Nick Drake (1948-74).

Unfortunately for a musician Nick Drake was shy and hated to perform live, he only created 3 albums and when they didn't sell he was left depressed and with almost no income he died at the age of 26 after an overdose of anti depressants. After his death Drake was cited as an influence by other musicians and bands such as robert smith the cure but to the public he seemed destined to fall into oblivion until volkswagen used his song pink moon in a 1999 ad viewers were fascinated and began to massive search for his music which caused a massive increase in sales of his albums decades after his creation

Jonathan Larson (1960-96).

It's an oddly apt example of the famous quote life imitates art. He wrote lyrics and music for several unsuccessful plays but had high hopes for his rock opera which deals with poor artists struggling to achieve their dreams. Larson himself was nearly broke and suffering from chest pains when his magnum opus was due to be presented on the very morning before the first live show he was found dead in his apartment rent became a huge hit

George Bizet (1938-75).

Unlike many of those on our list he had a brilliant start to his career, grew up in a family of musicians attended the paris conservatory and even won the pride rome prize for composition however after that he encountered a series of failures who finally put all his hopes into the flesh, a great opera set in spain full of action, unfortunately the public in paris was scandalized by the work and criticized it, he denounced it, heartbroken and ill, he died a few months after carmen premiered in vienna and died became a great success, still considered a masterpiece

Tim Hardin (1941-80).

He had the dubious distinction of being less successful than other singers with his own music his songs were performed by Johnny Cash among others ironically his only hit single however after a drunken performance his life began to deteriorate, his wife and His son abandoned him for this, as well as his record studio left him aside and at the age of 39 he died of an overdose, after his death his songs continued to be performed but he himself remained a great unknown until an album of 2013 was published. tribute that aroused interest in his work more than 30 years later

Arthur Rusell (1951-92).

He had many interests and his music is quite difficult to categorize descriptions range from established genres like disco mutants among others as he was always experimenting and revising previous songs which didn't lend itself to commercial success. He died essentially unknown with only one album completed however Audica Records after his death began publishing his music which led to his fame.

It is impressive how well-known brands and famous artists make singers famous after death, the influence is something very amazing, but in what positive or negative way? let me know in the comment box what you think about this! tomorrow I will bring the second part where they will be famous artists that nobody knows see you soon I hope you liked it
