Tunetoken.io - Disrupting the Music Industry

Hello Steemians,

My first ICO facts blog post was on Tunetoken.io, a music app that aims to revolutionize music collaboration. At that time, the whitepaper was not published so the review was short and still reachable from this here.

Since then, the project leaders and developers showed immense effort and finalized their website, brought together a talented blockchain team, and worked on the Recordgram App.

What is the vision?

The vision is to create a decentralized music production marketplace, which uses ERC-20 based Tune Token as the main currency.

Tune Company targets to utilize blockchain technology, smart contracts and digital tokens to provide a solution to digital songwriter rights and royalty transparency issues for the music industry. On top of that, they are looking to create a platform where the user/community relations are incentivized through the use of Tune token, which will create a rich ecosystem through the sharing, creation and engagement of content.

The first version of their app is available for IOS and Android. This app allows anyone to record vocals, write songs, lease beats and create music videos.

The purpose is to create a decentralized mobile application, which would help the democratization of music collaboration and talent discovery. On the other side, this application will also reward the users of app, who are as the audience, the real value generators. Blockchain technology and ERC-20 based Tune Token will be the main fuel in the app.

What is the utility of the token?

Tune Tokens will be convertible to RecordGram credits. With these credits, users will be able to listen to beats, tip artists. The users will also be able to earn tokens through simple tasks like watching ads or sharing tunes - rewarding their attention and effort. For the content creators, the blockchain technology will make the ownership transparent and solve the songwriter rights by employing meta data in the content. Content creators will be able to receive tips from users as well as royalty payments from publishers.

The Team

The core team has deep connections in the music industry with Erik Mendelson at the helm. Erik Mendelson is a veteran producer and artist manager, who has has signed, managed, and developed 3 platinum recording artists.

Another member of the core team is Shawn Mims or p/k/a, MIMS is a multi-platinum recording artist, Grammy award winning writer, well-known for his global #1 single This Is Why I’m Hot.

Finally, the team also features Winston Thomas or p/k/a DJ Blackout is a Grammy Award Winning music producer and international DJ who has produced over 30 commercial records.
