And I have to tell you it was refreshing to meet a death metal vocalist who has such a big heart. We got to talking about all kinds of bands and music right through to Buddhism and how people exploit wild animals for personal gain. The one thing other than music and world exploration we had in common is the fact we have a soft spot for animals. What sparked our conversation was the fact that we both adopted a rescue animal. He has a Pit Bull of one and a half years old and we've got two cats and an Afrikaner-Africanus dog I picked up in the Transkei - the best dog I've ever had the privilege of meeting. Other than that both of us like the road less traveled, off the beaten trail. In respect for him, I'm not going to divulge the intimacy of our whole conversation but I can tell you from what I got to know about him he is a damn solid guy.
