DSound Gems VOL8 - Steemit Music Review
This is my 8th musical fishing trip in to the waters of DSound. Loads of great music this week. The quality of beats and hip hop posted by Steemians is particularly impressive and seems to be a genre where there is a decent and supportive community of beatmakers. Just dipping in to the new DSound posts each day it is amazing the volume of stuff. There is alot of posting of other people's music (Though ironically I suppose that is exactly what I am doing here too) but there is a decent pool of original music being made by the Steem community for sure.
Hope it continues and multiplies.

Second Womb are consistently putting up some great hip hop with great hooks and thoughtful lyrics over skillfully crafted beats. This track with guest verse by Sid Aurthur is no exception.

@scuzzy repurposes some vocal acapellas from Wu Tang's Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. Simple beats and complex jazz loops work perfectly under the rhymes from these Rap royals.

@drkent builds some kick drum loops and some adept guitar along with some nice production flourishes to craft this mellow but heartfelt political statement piece.
A World of Grace and Peace sounds nice but distant right now.

@d-pend gets down in a majorly funky beatbox style. Seventies style Stevie Wonder production with some nice vocal chants in the middle. Only a hair over 2 minutes but loads of layers and change ups in here.

Ambient is an acquired taste but luckily is one I acquired a long time ago. @juliakponsford manages to stay the right side of tuneless ambient noodling to create something with some structure and texture to it.
