"Wahai orang-orang beriman, apabila diseru untuk menunaikan shalat jum'at, maka bersegeralah kalian kepada mengingat ALLAH dan tinggalkan jual beli, yang demikian itu lebih baik bagi mu jika kamu mengetahui" ( Al-Jumu'ah : 9 )

Dari Ibnu Abbas Ra berkata Rasulullah Saw bersabda, " sesungguhnya hari ini (Jum'at) ALLAH menjadikannya sebagai hari Ied bagi kaum muslimin, maka barang siapa yang menghadiri shalat Jum'at hendak nya mandi, jika ia memiliki wangi-wangian maka hendaknya dia memakai nya dan beraiwaklah". ( HR. Ibnu Majah)
