My 2018: A tour around my town - Maracaibo, my dear land

I thank the people who created this wonderful contest and allow us people from all over the world to show our city of origin. My city of Origin, is the first city of Venezuela, my beautiful Maracaibo.

Maracaibo is a city where the sun shines as much as it can and the heat is characteristic. It is a city full of beautiful places and today I invite you to take a tour with me and know the most popular places, food, and people.

I live in a city that I don't change for anything, and I want you can get to know it a little bit more and you can fall in love with this beautiful land and some day they want to visit us.

The bridge over Lake Maracaibo, is one of our treasures, that bridge connects us with the East Coast of the lake, another Municipality of the State where I live, it is a gift to us; this Bridge Cruise; At night it has lights that adorn each pile of colors of our national flag, yellow, blue and red!

In this other image I show you my beloved Basilica of the Virgin Chiquinquirá, patron saint of the Zulianos, a beautiful basilica in all aspects, here in my land we celebrate each November 18 its descent, we celebrate it with the famous fair of Chinita where all Marabinos and people from other states visit us to honor our mother.

The Marabinos we love so much our mother the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, that in honor of her was built a square with a sculpture of the Virgin and a length of the square there is a fountain with beautiful flowers, definitely a place that transmits peace.

Near our basilica is one of the oldest and most recognized theaters of the city, the famous Baralt Theater where great works, municipal, national and international are presented.

Another great theater is the great Lía Bermúdez, a theater that offers plays for the youngest of the house and offers theater classes.

Likewise, we have the Port of our city, where merchandise ships arrive and depart for the import and export of special commercial products.

Another great tesory of our city is the famous Vereda del Lago, a family park where you can go for a bike ride, walk along the lake, perform recreational activities for children and adults, definitely a place to share with family.

Carabobo Street, and Santa Lucia are places where you can have a nice time among friends and family, which is another place that preserves all the traditional of our land and with houses with large windows and full of bright colors.

The food is the best part of my city, the hamburgers, the patacones, the pastelitos, the mandocas, are typical meals of my land.

The Cepillados does not miss, this is a kind of ice cream with crushed ice and different syrups of different flavors and top condensed milk, all a delight.
