Assalamu Alaikum.
The other morning, my brother woke me up. We needed to clear away the weeds that had been hoed up from our peanut field the previous day. I got up, went to the field with my brother, and started gathering the weeds to place them at the edge of the field. As we moved further along, we collected the weeds into a sack and dumped them by the side of the field. The sun was beating down intensely from the morning, and we were drenched in sweat by the time we finished the task. However, we hadn't finished weeding the entire peanut field yet. The remaining section was scheduled to be weeded that day, though the laborers hadn't arrived yet. I returned home, freshened up, and had my breakfast.
Since morning, my uncle had been working on a raised plot of land next to the paddy field. Later, he brought a power tiller there to till the soil. He had a hired worker start the tilling process. He plans to sow seeds for several types of vegetables here. However, this is not for commercial purposes; whatever he grows is intended for home consumption. I didn't stay there long due to the intense heat of the sun; I returned home to rest.
In the afternoon, I visited our paddy field, as the rice seedlings require regular monitoring. The heat of the sun is so intense that the dogs have waded into the water to cool off. I can see them searching for something in the pond.
In the afternoon, I took my nephew along and visited my cousin's bottle gourd patch. They have cultivated bottle gourds for the first time. They started selling the produce a few days ago; the market prices for bottle gourds—and all vegetables—are quite good this season. I often visit to check on the crop's progress. We spent quite a while in the field before heading back. I didn't have much work today, so I’ve been spending the evening at home, watching cartoons on my PC. That’s all for now—Allah Hafiz.
