Hi friends, how are you all? I hope you are well
The start of my day was completely normal and peaceful. Every morning feels like paradise to me.I woke up at dawn and first offered my prayers. The calm atmosphere of the early morning and the spiritual serenity of prayer brought deep peace to my heart. After that, I freshened up, had a light breakfast, and did some light exercise to keep myself active and refreshed. Altogether, the day had begun in a very beautiful and positive way.Once I had completed all my preparations and was ready to leave the house, I suddenly faced an unexpected problem. When I tried to start my bike, it wouldn’t start at all. I tried several times, but it simply refused to respond. After checking carefully, I discovered that the bike’s fuel tank had become completely unusable. The inside of the tank was badly rusted, and the rust had mixed with the fuel, causing a severe blockage. Not a single drop of fuel was reaching the engine, which is why the bike could not start.
In just a moment, the smooth and beautiful rhythm of my morning plans was disrupted. Although I felt a little disappointed at the beginning of the day, I quickly pulled myself together. I reminded myself that since my bike is my daily companion, taking proper care of it is my responsibility. Therefore, I decided to dedicate the entire day to fixing the problem. As the fuel tank needed to be replaced with a new one, I brought the bike outside the house early in the morning to begin the replacement process. After bringing the bike outside the house, I once again tried for quite a while to start it. I tried again and again, but nothing worked. The engine remained completely silent. At that point, I realized there was no use wasting more time trying.
The bike servicing shop is about one kilometer away from my house. Since I had gone out very early in the morning, there were hardly any vehicles on the road that could help me transport the bike. I felt a bit helpless and worried, but I had no other option. Finally, I decided to push the bike myself. I pushed it all the way from my house to the servicing shop, nearly one kilometer by hand. Although the distance was not very long, pushing a heavy bike that far was exhausting. I was completely tired, sweating heavily, and breathing hard. Still, I felt that this small struggle was worth it for my beloved bike.Around 8 o’clock in the morning, I finally reached the bike servicing area with my bike. However, most of the shops weren’t open yet and didn’t start operating until after 9 a.m. I had to wait there for almost an hour before anyone arrived to assist. By the time they began checking everything and getting ready, it was already 10 o’clock. That’s when I finally handed over my bike to my brother for servicing.
The problem with my bike was quite severe. The fuel tank had completely rusted, and the oil inside had become contaminated with rust particles. As a result, it was impossible to use the tank without a complete cleaning. They had to dismantle both the fuel tank and the engine entirely to clean everything thoroughly. My bike is a Discovery 125, a model from Bajaj, and during this process, I learned something concerning: according to the servicing staff, this isn’t just an isolated case. Many bikes from this company, across various models, often face the same issue with their fuel tanks. Rust buildup and contamination inside the tank seem to be a recurring problem, making regular maintenance essential to avoid such complications. This incident made me realize how crucial proper care and timely servicing are, even for relatively new bikes. It’s not just about keeping the bike running it.
I was closely supervising the entire servicing process of my bike from the ground. Every task, every part being dismantled and cleaned, was under my watchful eye. During this time, a few more bikes arrived for servicing, and I also kept an eye on their work. However, sitting there for a long time gradually became frustrating. Time seemed to pass very slowly. Still, there was nothing else I could do. Taking proper care of my beloved bike was my responsibility, so I made sure to observe every detail attentively. I had to check that no parts were replaced unnecessarily and that everything was cleaned thoroughly. It was important to understand and monitor the work myself to ensure that no mistakes or negligence occurred.
The servicing staff were cleaning my bike with great care and attention. Every part was being cleaned slowly and meticulously, which I really appreciated. After sitting for a long time, I started feeling a little hungry, as the whole process was moving quite slowly.Just then, a chanachur (spiced snack) vendor arrived nearby. I bought some delicious, freshly coated chanachur from him and sat down to enjoy it. This small snack brought a bit of joy and made the waiting time more pleasant. Finally, after the bike was completely cleaned, the new fuel tank was brought out and prepared for installation. I have shared pictures of this process so you can clearly see how the new tank was set up and made ready for use.
The installation of the new fuel tank was carried out with great care and attention by the staff. Every step was done meticulously to ensure that there were no issues or errors. I stayed throughout the entire process, supervising closely, and as a result, the work continued until around 3 p.m.
After the tank was installed, the bike was thoroughly washed and cleaned, making it look almost brand new. The total bill for the service came to 13,000 Bangladeshi Taka. Once the work was completed, I settled the payment and returned home. Overall, although the day’s servicing process was long and exhausting, seeing my beloved bike refreshed and in perfect condition made all the effort completely worthwhile.
This concludes today’s diary blog. Wishing everyone good health, I end my post here for today.
