I pegged you for a 'wincer' @gillianpearce :) Thank you for not laughing at my misfortune! It is healing very nicely, thank you; it occasionally feels as though there's a bit of sand in my eye, but other than that, it's back to normal.
I do look at the clothesline differently now though.
