Nature walk in Carthage missouri

Took my son to the battle of Carthage battlefield today where they have a cave (permit access only) and a fresh spring and a nice little walking trail! This is one of the few things I like about the Ozarks. How lush and green it is. But I don't like the swarm of ticks and mosquitos!!
