Me and my friend we started our adventure treak to sailung from koteshor bus stand. We were planning for this trip a long time ago .From koteshor we took a bus at 7:30 am.It was little cold and sunny day in kathmandu. We both were very excited and began to talk about our further plan for that day, after 4 and half hour we reached mude.It was very cold there, wind was blowing very fast .
Mude is the place where there are many hotels and lodge for the visiter, there we stayed for the meal.We took some time rest and had our meal.Suddenly it started falling snow,I was very happy to see snow falling because it was my first time and was a wonderful feeling.

Me and my friend we had this coversation about safety first. So,we changed our plan not to go Sailung that day instead we plan to go Charikot Bajar to take rest.Next day,it was very cold outside from the morning. It felt it was not good time to go treak so we decide to go to my old friend house which is 20 km away from Charikot bajar. There we spend 3 days due to bad weather. On the fourth day in the morning it was clear sky so we decide to go in our Sailung treak.I told my friend that we were going Sailung to visit we insist him to come with us,he agreed. We had our meal in my friend house and we left for our journey at 10 am.Than we took a bus from near road to Tamakoshi. After 45 min we reached Tamakoshi. We had some cold drinks there and after that we began the hike from Tamakoshi River at 11:30 am.

The way from Tamakoshi to Pohoti Bajar was all roadways dusty, narrow and ungraveled road with lots of sharp turns. It was very dusty road so we took old trail to hike further.Old trail was very beautyful than new. We hiked past Charangay,Semtae. Finally We reached Pohoti around 2pm.We took rest there around 20 min and we took some food and water for our journey to Vhaisay and we left Pohoti.

After 3 hours continous walk we reached Vhaisay Bajar.Reaching Vhaisay I started to feel very cold and windy. From Vhaisay we can see little top part of Sailung. It was covered with snow.We took some time rest and we again start walking to our destination. It was getting little dark ,we can see sun light are getting down faster in the himalayas .After the sun set we were hiking under the half-full-moon night. The path was well lit by the moon.As we hiked higher and higher, the stars approached closer and closer hiking at these hours, when the rest of the souls were resting, was really a wonderful experience. Finally we reached Dhungay Bazaar at 8:00 pm. There, we decide to stay at the Lodge for that day. There was a long room kept aside for guests. The room had beds for 10-15 people. We were grateful towards the lodge owner for the warm beds in the freezing night .The people living in the Dhunge are mostly the Tamangs and Newars. The Tamangs are known for their simplicity and honesty. It seemed that the lodge owner were not expecting any guests so, we were happy to eat the simple Nepalese meal they could serve combination of rice, dal, gundruk and alu tarkari. The climate had completely changed at Dhunge. At 2500 m above the sea level the weather was very pleasant, cold and moon and stars are brighter than i saw from kathmandu.Unlike Kathmandu in the summer, the wind here was cool and refreshing. That night we drink some local wine made by Tamang people.Next morning when I wake up I don’t even remember when I feel asleep that night.Maybe I was too tired or that local wine was very strong.
We left Dhunge for Kalapani at 5 am next morning,it was very cold.Wearing the jackets, we hiked through the Dhunge trail to Kalapani. Sooner, it was sunrise.Himalaya view were amaging . It was 7 am when we reached Kalapani. There were few households around there. We stayed at one of the households for a cup of tea and biscuits. We were having a cup of tea, than we started conversation to the house owner. Her name was Man Kumari Tamang, she was like more than 60 years old grandma, she started asking us where we from?why we are there?I told her everything about our journey and asked her about sailung .Than, she told me there are many god and goddess temple starting from kalapani.I knew there were temples of gods but didn’t knew that it start from there kalapani. While we are having our conversation suddenly, a boy came inside than we came to know that’s her grandchild .The house owner had a little kid about 11 years old.His name was Bijay Tamang. That grandma told her kid to show us temple because he has a holiday that day ,at first he was ignoring us to show temples but than I told him I will buy him new shoes from Dhunge Bajar when we get back from sailung if he shows us the way and be our guide for that day.He except my offer happily.Than we made some changes in our plan while having our tea,my initial plan was visit to sailung temple(Lord Shiva Temple) and than get on top of sailung and get drunk for which we have already bought puja samagri(material to offer god) and bottle of vodka in Dhungay Bajar but now after listening to that grandma we have to replan our journey. We took some extra food for the kid. After finishing up our tea we begin to walk behind that kid Bijay. After walking 15 min he showed us Dharma dulo,it was a small cave (the myth was only good person can pass through that cave).Outside of that cave there was Shiva Linga .At first I looked into it,I saw dark inside there was no light .The kid start laughing at us and I thought I will try first and see whats in there,I took my cell phome in hand incase I need a flash light.Dharma dulo was very small hole made in a big rock with very sharp edge surface in which I have to crawl on my hands and legs, after moving 10ft distance, my heart start pouding fast because it felt like snake hole. After moving couple of distance I saw light further 5 ft away and then I took out my cell phone flash light, turn it on, there I saw many small Shiva linga it was quite amaging feeling so ,I took little time in there to pray for my family and than I got out crawling little further. When I came outside my friends and that boy were laughing at me because I was all messed up dirty many spider and their wave are all over me,I was like spider man for a moment. After visiting Dharma dulo we moved forward to other temples near that path. The path was very slippery, covered with thick snow inside a forest. We were surrounded by forest and big giant rock mountains. There were many temples beneath those rocky mountains.

After 1.5 hours long walk, we finally reached Sailung which is situated at 3146 m above the sea level. There were small hills all around like the sand dunes in the desert. The magnificent view of the Himalayas and the beautiful landscape around along with the cool breeze setting the mood, Sailung is a must-visit destination for everybody. We were fortunate to being able to see beautiful Himalayas clearly. we really enjoyed the beautiful view of the landscapes of Sailung, view of himalayan. We were busy taking pictures here and there. We also came across some horses there. The only thing that I missed at Sailung was the view of mountain ranges because of the thick haze.

Sailung
This place receives maximum devotees on Janai Purnima, Balachaturdashi and the Bara Barse Mela. It is also popular as the place where Gautam Buddha had visited and the place where 13 colors of the sun can be seen in a day. Sailung trek is only one trekking trail from where we can see 5 different Himalayan region
