Interesting article about how Christmas trees are used to help build wetlands in South Louisiana and the benefits that has happened over the years. This is a great use of old trees that were heading to the landfill anyway. And judging from the amount of trees I've seen sitting at on the curbs of the New Orleans area, I'd say that the people are behind the program and are ready to help out.
