ON THE WAY OUT - ROADSIDE BIRDS IN WISCONSIN

in #nature7 years ago

This was kind of interesting, and we saw a lot more than I would have thought.

As a steemian, I keep my camera at my side, or at least I try to. Much like in my Birds at the Lake posts, I like to photograph wildlife from the vehicle when I don't have enough time or opportunity to do any more than that.

Even this photo was taken out my truck window since the Cardinal was sitting roadside. Here are a collection of birds that we saw on our way out of Wisconsin. Some photos are better than others, but they include some ducks, Sandhill Cranes, and even a wild pheasant. Check out how close to the road the pheasant and cranes were, since I chose a few photos that included the rear-view mirror, just to help people appreciate how close these creatures were. Enjoy!

Until next time…

Nice photos. I also love the wildlife. And I have my camera as well close to me when driving, just in case I see an animal that I can capture with the camera. I'm looking forward to the actual start of spring here, so I can see some more animals.

Last week I was able to capture these from within my car.

Wow! Excellent job!

Badass shots!

Considering they were from inside a running vehicle, yes, they are alright! Thanks!

Your welcome! I really like the spoonbill shots. Some people call them a trash duck but I always enjoyed hunting them.

Always Love to see the Sandhill cranes, with there long legs .
Birds are a joy to sit and watch.

Good shooting Papa and nobody got hurt.

That cardinal is gorgeous! I also really liked the mallard flying. Great pics!

You keep getting better at this. I doubt I could do better. Constant use bring about perfection. Well done Papa. I like the way you always take advantage of every moment. Nothing passes you by. Hahaha

I do practice about every day. Thank you!

I trust you sir.

These are gorgeous photos. It is amazing just how close those wild birds are to the side of the road. I think the word has gotten out that they are safe when @papa-pepper is around!

You sure do have a lot of birds over there in Wisconsin. All we've got here are vultures and owls...lol.
Just kidding.
