jab shahtoot ke ped par fal aane shuru hote han, to unka rang pehle halka hara aur safed hota hai। dhire-dhire dhoop aur hawa ke sparsh se ve gulabi, phir gahre lal aur ant mein puri tarah pakkar chamkile kale ya baingani rang ke ho jaate han। ped ki daaliyon se neeche ki or latke yeh guchhedar fal dekhne mein behad aakarshak lagte han। hawa ke jhonke se jab ped ki tahniyan hilti han, to pake hue shahtoot khud-b-khud jameen par girne lagte han, jisse ped ke neeche ek khoobsurat prakritik kalin sa bichh jata hai। swad aur sehat ka anutha sangam shehtut ka swad khatta-mitha aur behad tazagi bhara hota hai। iske kai swasthya labh bhi han: vitamin aur antioxident: yah vitamin C, iron aur potassium ka behtarin srot hai, jo hamari rog pratirodhak kshamta (Immunity) ko badhata hai। pachan kriya mein sudhar: isme maujood fiber pet ki samasyaon ko door kar pachan tantra ko durust rakhta hai। tvacha aur aankhon ke liye faydemand: iske niyamit seven se chehre par chamak aati hai aur aankhon ki roshni behtar hoti hai। gramin ilakon mein aaj bhi bachchon ki toliyan pedon par chadhkar shahtoot todti hui dikh jaati han, jo ek khoobsurat aur jeevant drishya hai। sirf insaanon ke liye hi nahin, balki prakriti ke liye bhi yah ped behad mahatvapurn hai। iske meethe fal pakshiyon, gilhariyon aur madhumakkhiyon ko apni or aakarshit karte han, jisse paryavaran mein jaiv vividhata bani rehti hai। saath hi, iske patte resham ke keedon (Silkworms) ka mukhya bhojan hote han, jo resham udyog ki reedh han। pedon par lage shahtoot is baat ka prateek hain ki prakriti bina kisi bhedbhav ke hamen apni sabse meethi aur shuddh chijen saunp deti hai। concrete ke jangalon ke beech aaj bhi jab kisi kone mein shahtoot ka lada hua ped dikhta hai, to wah man ko aseem shanti aur sudh-budh bhula dene wala anand de jata hai।

When mulberry trees begin to bear fruit, their color is initially a pale green and white. Gradually, under the touch of sunlight and breeze, they turn pink, then deep red, and finally—upon ripening fully—transform into a glossy black or purple hue. Hanging downward in clusters from the tree's branches, these fruits present a truly captivating sight. As gusts of wind sway the branches, the ripe mulberries naturally begin to fall to the ground, creating a beautiful, natural carpet beneath the tree.
A Unique Blend of Flavor and Health

Mulberries possess a sweet-and-sour taste that is incredibly refreshing. They also offer numerous health benefits:

Vitamins and Antioxidants: They are an excellent source of Vitamin C, iron, and potassium, all of which help boost our immunity.

Improved Digestion: The fiber content in mulberries helps alleviate stomach ailments and keeps the digestive system functioning smoothly.

Beneficial for Skin and Eyes: Regular consumption of mulberries imparts a natural glow to the skin and improves eyesight.

In rural areas, it is still a common and delightful sight to see groups of children climbing trees to pluck mulberries—a vibrant and beautiful tableau. This tree holds immense significance not only for humans but for the natural world as well. Its sweet fruits attract birds, squirrels, and bees, thereby helping to sustain biodiversity within the environment. Furthermore, its leaves serve as the primary food source for silkworms, which form the very backbone of the silk industry.

The mulberries adorning these trees serve as a symbol of how nature, without any discrimination, freely bestows upon us its sweetest and purest gifts. Even today, amidst the concrete jungles of modern cities, catching a glimpse of a mulberry tree laden with fruit in some quiet corner brings a sense of profound peace to the mind—an overwhelming joy that makes one forget the cares of the world.
