My activities during Ramadan. Beautiful scenery in the rice fields🕊️. February 24, 2026
Hello everyone.
Hello everyone, how are you today? I hope you're all doing well. On this holy month of Ramadan, I'd like to share an interesting story about my activities today. Every morning brings a new beginning, new blessings, and new hopes. This is a perfect day in Ramadan because it is a gift from God. May your day be filled with blessings and a hopeful start.
Early this morning, I woke up before dawn. I performed ablution for the two rak'ah morning prayer after eating my pre-dawn meal. Then, I proceeded to the front of my house to enjoy the bright and pleasant morning atmosphere. Today, the internet connection in the highlands has been unstable and often intermittent. Recently, the internet connection in our area has been spotty, so we have had to travel to the highlands in Block B to find a good internet connection.
As usual, it was 10:00 a.m. Indonesian time. My friend followed me to find a new variation. After doing some activities at home, we went to the rice fields to have some fun while we searched for internet access in a normal location. It was such a sunny day that even walking a few meters made us feel incredibly tired. Then, we spent time with friends in the rice fields, enjoying the beautiful atmosphere.
Somehow today, we seemed to forget the passage of time, as we were with our friends sharing interesting stories and recounting moments from our past, making it seem like time was passing. Moreover, we were relaxing in the vast rice fields. Time truly flew by because it was so comfortable and enjoyable for us to spend time talking. The day had already begun at 2:00 PM Indonesian time. Then we continued on to my other friend's refugee camp to invite her to find new variations in this blessed month of Ramadan.

There were still a few hours left before breaking the fast. I didn't play much this afternoon. Two of my friends couldn't join us because they had important activities in the highlands of Block A at the refugee camp. I was alone with one of my friends from the same refugee camp, Sahira, this afternoon. Sahira and I were waiting for iftar time, relaxing on the edge of a local rice field.
Iftar time was still an hour away. We were very thirsty today because we were so tired from traveling through several highlands near our refugee camp this afternoon. Overall, I didn't have much to do at home today, so I had plenty of time to spend with my friends and with my fellow refugee campers.
Twenty minutes before breaking the fast, Sahira and I returned to the evacuation center. Since it was almost time to break the fast, I continued cleaning up and helping my grandmother prepare breakfast. Then I took a Lupis cake and some warm tea we had made in the public kitchen.
I am always grateful for what we have, even though food aid is now very rare in our area. We never complain or give up; we are always strong enough to face all these obstacles. We are happy even though we are in difficulty because we always have ingredients to prepare food every afternoon. Although it's not as luxurious as in a restaurant, we are not rich and we are village children here, we are very happy to be simple.
Finally, the time to break the fast has arrived, and we have prepared food supplies for breaking the fast. After the time to break the fast arrived, we continued breaking the fast with just the food we had. This cake called lupis is still my favorite, even though many people don't really like lupis cake, but in my opinion, the lupis cake like the one in my picture is very delicious.
