Yes, I have carefully learned that Steemit uses different keys for different purposes to ensure the maximum safety of my account:
Posting Key: This is for daily activities like creating posts, commenting, and voting on others' content.
Active Key: This is used for sensitive tasks such as transferring funds, powering up/down, and changing profile settings.
Owner Key: This is the most powerful key, which I have stored in a very safe place and will use only if I ever need to recover a compromised account.
Memo Key: This key is used for encrypting and decrypting private memos during financial transactions.
- How do you keep your master password safe?
I have realized that the master password is the core of my identity on Steemit. I have stored it in a very secure, offline location—specifically in a private physical diary—so that no one can access it digitally. I make sure never to share this password with anyone under any circumstances, and I avoid saving it on public computers. - Do you know how to transfer your STEEM tokens to another Steem user account?
Yes, I understand the process clearly. To transfer tokens, I go to my 'Wallet', select the specific token (STEEM or SBD) I want to send, and click on 'Transfer'. Then, I enter the recipient's username and the exact amount I wish to send, followed by a memo if necessary. - Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yes, I am aware of this process as well. In my wallet, I can select 'Power Up' from the dropdown menu of my liquid STEEM balance, which converts my tokens into Steem Power. This helps me increase my influence on the platform and support other creators better.
