Achievement 3 by @chiamy : Content Etiquette and Plagiarism
My Understanding of Plagiarism and Content Etiquette
As a digital creator, farmer, and mom, I know how much effort goes into producing something original. On Steemit, creating your own work is the most important rule of the blockchain.
What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism means taking someone else's written words, ideas, images, or hard work and presenting them as your own without giving them proper credit. It is essentially intellectual theft. On Steemit, plagiarism is heavily frowned upon and can get an account muted or blacklisted.
To avoid plagiarism, I have learned that:
1. Always use my own words: If I read an article, I must rewrite the concept entirely from my own perspective.
2. Use Quotes for Direct Copying: If I absolutely must use someone else's exact words, I will use the Markdown blockquote > and clearly state the source.
How to Source Images Properly
If I do not use my own personal photos, I must use copyright-free image websites (like Pixabay or Unsplash) and properly credit the source link like this:

My Commitment
"I have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on the Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them."
I look forward to creating completely original content about my family, farming journey, and life in Nigeria!
