The Diary Game: My experience on the day I tag as "the longest and hectic day of the month" (17-12-2025)

A hectic day is one that is filled with numerous activities, little rest, and constant movement from one responsibility to another. Such days test a person’s strength, patience, and ability to manage time effectively. My hectic day was one of those unforgettable experiences that began early in the morning and continued until late at night, leaving me both exhausted and fulfilled.

The day started earlier than usual when I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing persistently. I had several tasks planned, so there was no time to linger in bed. After preparing myself quickly, I rushed through breakfast and set out for the day. Even at this early hour, my mind was already crowded with thoughts of what lay ahead, and I knew the day would demand my full attention and energy.

The hectic traffic 🚦 took over the day from heading to the office and heading to the place of secondary responsibility.. It's quite so unfortunate that a distance in which a 2hrs drive can cover ended up taking 5hrs. We spent a good number of hours precisely 4hrs 52mins to get to Ikeja from Lekki phase 1.

The journey going would have been fun but the 37° c heat rewrote the experience even with a 16°c cool temperature of the vehicle air conditioner.

Lagos third mainland bridge a one way in and out of the Lagos linked inter-cities, happens to be the first place to welcome you to the traffic jam for the day. Wait a minute, did I tell you that the vehicle tire gave us a warm welcome? Hoolala that sets us up to the emergency task for the day.

After the successful rolling up of the plan for the day, my journey back home set up, but this time with the full awareness of what it's going to be (double of what I encountered while coming).

To God be the glory I finally got home after a hectic day, I term this day my longest day in the month for now.
