My introduction post to Steemit: Achievement 1, @esther4real

Hi family, I want to officially introducing myself to Steemit. My real name is Esther Ahenkrah, all the way from Accra, Ghana and I'm looking forward to experiencing this new decentralized world. I might try out the other decentralized platforms. I am very new to the word decentralization and Web 3. Didn't even know the web had versions, I thought it was the same Google updating itself with new features.

I haven't had the chance to travel outside my country before, and I've actually been an introvert for the majority of my life. I thought it was my own personality but actually it's because my parents are a little over protective. But being in my early twenties, they are now encouraging me to go out more and be with friends and learn how to take good care of myself.

Having grown up in a West African culture, I have developed this unique perspective on the resilience and innovation needed to bring creativity and community building together and that's why I like the way Steemit has been designed. I really can't believe a platform like this has been around for a decade, the way it looks I have no doubt it just needs good promotion and a lot of people will like it. It's also making me trust it so much on the account of there is so many scam sites online.

The only blockchain thing I know of is what they've written as a feature on binance and I never really understood it till now.

For most of my free time nowadays since I get the chance to go out with friends, I like going to the local markets, but I'm still not a party girl, I usually make up and excuse to escape any party invite. I have a huge dislike for noise.

Besides that, just like the average person today, we can't help but spend some time watching funny skits and what celebrities in our country are saying about other celebrities. You come to Ghana, the show business here is mostly one celebrity picking a fight with another celebrity for clout.

But religion is very important in our country and yes, Christianity has dominated Ghana. I don't miss a Sunday in church, if I do then it's either I was very sick or something very serious came up.

I am actually a firm believer that content is king. Let's be honest, even though robots will replace us in so many ways, it can't kick people out of content creation. And I'm looking forward to sharing mine and also my cultural experiences on Steemit.

I see that unlike YouTube which I'm kind of addicted to, this platform actually values content creators more than advertisers. I have never been a creator before so it will be nice to say I'm starting that with Steemit. I've always been watching stuff. The way Steemit has tied itself to crypto is also very nice. The only crypto I've earned in my life is some airdrop that's not even Worth 10 cents and that's what led me to download binance in the first place.

I'll end by saying that I'm also looking forward to be more familiar with the Steem community. Thank you for reading and I'll share a few of my pictures below. Almost all of them are pics after church because that's where I'm not shy to take photos.
