The Dairy Game: A surprised rain on Christmas eve [24/12/2025]

Good evening steemians and merry Christmas eve to you all. I trust your all having a nice time bonding with family, friends and loved ones. I can't say same for me because I didn't get to travel this time due to the bad roads this period, but am trying my best to connect with my family and friends over there.

Today I woke up feeling very hungry like really really hungry and I didn't prepare anything down the previous day since am staying alone obviously so I felt bo need. I didn't know my body had other plans, I was like since its almost Christmas I'll just cook something good then but boy I was so wrong to think that way because I couldn't understand the heat my stomach was giving me this morning I had to rush into the bathroom brush my teeth and wash my face then I just sighted a pineapple that remained so I took it with water for breakfast, at least so I could get a grip on the heat before getting what to really eat later.

After I finish eating my breakfast of pineapple with just water I step outside just to enjoy the view and the weather was kinda cool so I just decided to suck it in since it's been so hot few days back. I started feeling sleepy you all know it's holiday season so I don't have much to do no work no stress so I decided to go back inside and take a nap. I can't really remember how long I slept for but I know I got a really good sleep and by the time I woke up I was hungry again yep, remember I didn't still prepare anything yet so I just got snack and just scroll through my phone. I was seeing different people coming to visit their families and others buying stuff in preparation for Christmas while I was just there just me, myself and I,it made me suddenly miss my family so I decided to call them and we spoke at length on call before ending it . The weather was kinda cool and breezy but I waved the thought of rain because you know it's Christmas eve and they're no way the rain would fall, I mean I've not experienced it once so I just thought it's gonna clear off but I was so wrong again.

All of a sudden the breeze got stronger and rain started to drizzle I had to rush to a store by the road side to get something to cook, as I was about paying for the food items then came a very heavy rain people started running around to protect their goods and all so I was stock there for a while so the rain can come down a bit before I can go back home. I was just there complaining why should take fall on the night of Christmas eve of all days, but a woman made a statement, she said that God is wonderful Bec the past weeks every where was very hot and if we had continued like that maybe some people would be getting burned on their skin and others could get worse and honestly I couldn't agreed less to what she said so I'ma of seeing the rain as a distraction or a disturbance I saw it as a blessing to us, and to me as an individual since it kinda made everywhere cool together with the breeze.

After like 30 mins of rain it finally stopped raining and I went back to prepare my food I actually bought turkey laps and others ingredients for soup. I just wanted to make something different it was late and I didn't feel like cooking again so I just steamed the turkey so it wouldn't spoil and used a little bit to eat with rice before retiring to bed.
