It’s a pleasure to be making another achievement post and I’m grateful for the progress.

Steem being a cryptocurrency needs a convenient trading platform where you can exchange Steem for other cryptocurrencies. This is the beauty of steemscan.com
Developed by @futureshock, Steemscan is a tool that provides a means of checking the current price of Steem against the USD, a blockchain showing previous actions and transactions on the Steem website and also a means of converting Steem to Tron, Bitcoin and USDT.

It’s important so that each user can withdraw their earnings by themselves and not be over-charged by other users due to their inexperience.

Latest prices and volumes

When you log on to steemscan.com, on the home page you’ll find a section at the top of the page that shows the price of Steem as compared to the USD and the total supply of Steem.
Today, the 16th of October, the current price is $0.58.

Latest transactions and latest blocks

Still on the home page, there’s a section called “Latest transactions” which show the most recent activities performed on the Steem website, be it voting, commenting and the like.

“Latest blocks” shows the ID’s of various blocks on the blockchain and the number of transactions that were performed on them.

Witnesses

This section shows active witnesses and the current witness as well.

How to vote a witness

In the Witnesses section of the Menu, there’s is a column tagged “Vote” at the right end.

To vote a witness, you simply click “Vote” in the last column of the witness’ row. I want to vote eastooowest so I click “vote” on his row.

Then, a new page will appear. Here, you click “Continue”, after which you’ll be required to input your Steemit Id and Posting key to complete the action.

DApps

DApps stands for decentralized apps which a ten basically applications being run on a decentralized computing system.

Steem has a number of DApps that aid your navigation of the Steem website. Personally, I have experience with **Steemworld** and now with Steemscan. I intend to also explore DTube in the near future.

Quick convert

This section is a major beauty of Steemscan. Here, a user can trade his Steem for USDT, Bitcoin or Tron. It is used basically for withdrawals.

How to convert Steem to another coin

Input the amount of Steem you wish to trade. Then select the crypto you would like to buy. Then input the withdrawal address, and click “Create Order”. Your Active key will be required to completed the transaction, and you’re done!

Different fees at different Steem amounts

Here, I used 20 Steem and 80 Steem trading to USDT as examples. At 20 Steem, the fee would be 1.11208095 USDT. At 80 Steem, the fee would be 1.11208300 USDT.

The “Search” feature

This feature is used to find any transaction on the Steem blockchain. The highlighted section, “Additional Parameters” help to narrow the search down and give a more precise result.

I’m excited with all I’ve learnt on Steemit so far. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me.
