Achievement 2 @growwithnens Task : Basic Security On Steem

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening everybody (depending on the time you are seeing this post) 😊. So following the successful completion of my Achievement 1, I have spent the past few hours studying the architecture of the Steem Blockchain with the help of the pinned posts of the admins and steemit greeters.
I took a notice, unlike other social networks where a customer support team can reset a lost password, Steemit operates on cryptographic key pairs which means that if I in anyway lose my keys, my funds and profile would be gone forever .
Below is my own breakdown of my answers to how I'm securing my account and my understanding to how all the keys work.
The important questions::
###QUESTION 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?
Yes, I have successfully seen and saved my cryptographic keys and to be safe from any digital vulnerabilities, I used a multi layer storage strategy which includes:

1. Physical Backup:: I printed a copy and filed it very safely with my vital documents which is only accessible by me.

2. I also saved the encrypted file on an external flash drive.

3. I made sure to remove the plain keys from my mobile notes or my Google one password saver to avoid phone hack risks

Do you know each of those key functions and restrictions?
I very well understood that each key has a specific role of authority designed to keep my wallet secure during daily operations. For example:

1. The Private Posting Key : this key is the only key I use for my normal everyday logins. Allows me to post blogs, reply to comments, upvote other creators and follow accounts. If by any way this key is compromised, my funds will remain safe.

2. The Active Key : this is my wallet key which I will only use for transferring STEEM OR SBD, powering up tokens or even interacting with the internal market. Strictly needs to be hidden unless it's needed for completing a transaction.

3. Owner Key : the most powerful key of all keys. It can modify all other keys. Strictly for account recovery if I ever get hacked.

4. The Memo Key : this is the key which I will use exclusively to decrypt or encrypt private text messages sent alongside wallet transfers .

How do you plan to keep your master password?
I know that the master password is the root key that was used to generate the entire key system. And if anyone gains access to it they will own my account and my wallet.
So therefore I have written it down by hand and locked it safely. Will never in any way input it into a third party websites. I strictly stick to the rule of using my posting key for social actions and my active key for wallet actions. I have kept the master password completely isolated.

Do you know how to transfer your Steem token to another Steem user account?
Yes, I have explored the wallet interface and also understood how the whole process works. Let me break it down:

1. First of all I go to my personal steemit wallet dashboard

2. I click on the drop-down arrow next to my liquid Steem balance.

3. Then I select the transfer option.

4. I now enter the exact username of the receiver in the TO" field.

5. After that I input the exact amount of Steem I want to transfer
   6)I click next and securely authorize the broadcast using my Active Key.

Do you know how to power up your STEEM ?
I know that powering up means converting liquid Steem into locked Steem Power. And doing this increases my voting power, generates me curation reward and will also help me to support my fellow Nigerian creators on the platform.
For me to execute the power up:

1. I click the drop down arrow next to my Steem balance.

2. I select POWER UP

3. Enter the desired amount I want and sign the transaction using my Active Key.
   I actually plan to utilize this feature to join #club5050 as soon as my first rewards mature in 7 days!!!!.

All the pinned guides are really really helpful to steemit newbies......I wonder what I would have done without those guides.
I'm so excited to clear this step and keep on climbing the ladder to success.
