THE DIARY GAME (20/06/2026): THE DAY MY PLAN CHANGED,BUT NOT MY GOAL

Some experiences never leave your mind no matter how many years past.
Few years ago when I made the hardest decision of my younger age, I recently finished my secondary education, and was preparing to sit for jamb to prepare for the next stage of my education level.
One faithful morning my mom woke me up early in the morning and started apologizing and I was like mom what's the problem hope everything is fine she assured me yes with a fake smile.
Then came the sad news that I won't be sitting for the jamb examination coming up, the word alone changed my mood, she explained to me the reasons, which I didn't understood quite well then.
You know the joy of anticipating for a new adventure, new friends, new experiences was cut short due to financial instability,
I broke down in tears and for weeks I wasn't myself. One nite as I was about to sleep a thought came to my mind which was since there was no money for me to further my education what about I go learn a skill that represent the course I was supposed to study at the university.
Well I bought the idea and informed my parents about it which they agreed and they found a place for me to start my new adventure.
When some of my friends learnt that I wasn't sitting for the exam few of them felt sorry for me while few mocked me.
But deep down in me I was now determined to prove a point.
Everyday at work I always keep the word financial instability as a motive, because I want to change the word to financial stability.
When I started my apprenticeship skill in cars repairs, my boss once told me the secret of learning fast was not to prove people wrong but to develop passion for the work, and that was the magic point in it, well I took the advice and applied it which really helped me a lot when trials came up.
Fast forward to this day I never allowed the disappointment to bring me down,
I gave it all and still giving it all coz the GOAL is to change the story from FINANCIAL INSTABILITY to FINANCIAL STABILITY.
With the skills I have now I am rest assured to further my education and sort out myself when neccessary.
Today's disappointment can never be a hindrance to any dreams or hopes.
