Hello, my name is Joselyn, I'm 19 years old and i live in Cuba. I'm joining the community looking for a space to share experiences.

This year, I became an English language student. I previously chose Sociology as a course because I cannot get into English directly. I actually love my current degree; it fascinates me how multiple systems convey messages in numerous languages, each with its own different sounds and structures. My main goal is to translate my favorite author's books.

As I said before, I want to be a book translator. This interest was born from reading amazing books and feeling the need to share them with other people who might not speak Spanish. I think being a Latin American translator is a challenge because there are so many different accents in our continent, but that is precisely what makes it more attractive to me.

I love art in all its forms of expression. Nevertheless, I'm very interested in photography and modeling. Despite being a total amateur, I like to freeze moments that people or I are living, and have the possibility to, in a way, travel back in time to those memories. But also, standing intentionally in front of a camera can push us out of our comfort zone and lead us to explore ourselves through movement and action.

Another thing I love so much is writing. In my opinion, everything has the potential to be described and romanticized in some way. All these hobbies and passions I have, which are related to art, are my inspiration for beginning this new chapter: vlogging about my life.

I am a crazy passionate of dance. Since I was 5 years old, I have been participating in school shows, throughout my student life, I was also part of a few groups. Recently, after a long search, I have had the chance to do duo and solo performances. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to be part of the EVA school in my province and have the classical and professional preparation of a dancer. Therefore, I am constantly looking to improve on my own, and I hope to achieve a lot.
