The Dairy Game - Managing Day-Old Chicks at Munich Farm
Hello Steemit family. I hope your day is going amazingly well.
Today was an active and fulfilling day at the farm, and I am excited to share a glimpse of my daily routine as a young poultry farmer. Running Munich Farm here in Uyo takes dedication, and early mornings always start with checking on the most delicate and important stage of poultry farming: the day-old chicks.
Taking care of day-old chicks requires close attention to detail. Managing their brooding temperature is critical, which is why the heating bulb needs to be properly positioned to keep them warm and active. Ensuring they have fresh water and clean feed right from their shallow red feeders helps them settle down comfortably and start growing strong.
Walking into the pen and seeing them lively, moving around, and feeding well brings so much satisfaction. Farming teaches patience, consistency, and hard work every single day, and I am loving every step of this journey.
Here is a snapshot of the little ones inside the brooding pen today.
